LANGEBAAN, MAIN BEACH
Main Beach, is a wide beach with golden sands and shallow, flat water. Due to the venturi-effect between the town and mountains, there is constant wind which creates perfect teaching conditions.

The prevailing winds are side-shore. The south-easter (a.k.a Cape doctor) and thermal effects combined with the venturi-effect gives the highest percentage of wind you can find on the planet. The wind speed is most of the times between 17 and 25 knots. Winds can easily go up to 35 knots in the afternoon, which means you'll have to unpack your 7m2 kite.

This is the busiest place of Langebaan. If there is wind, there will always be a rescue boat available. If you use our kite equipment or use any of our facilities, help from the rescue boat will be free of charge!

Close to Main Beach you'll find many nice restaurants, coffeeshops, boutiques and other wind and watersport related shops. Main beach is therefore the ideal kitesurf place that offers everything.
